Hello to everyone reading this! I am guessing you are wondering where in the heckers I have been for the last couple of weeks? I have been insanely, awfully sick! I am still struggling with the leftover cough, but ultimately I am doing much better! Late this afternoon it was confirmed I had Influenza A and Pneumonia. I tell you what, I honestly thought I was on my deathbed, lol. I don't know if I have ever been that sick before, but I truly hope it never happens again!
Out of all of the kids, Bo is the only one who caught a bit of it. Compared to me, he has a mild case of it, and you better believe I am thanking the stars for that little gift!
In the midst of being sick, I had to cancel a lot of the kids' appointments sadly, so I have been trying to get all caught up with those. We did make it to the kids' picture appointment though, and even though I was struggling, I am so glad we were able to make it. We went tho Thoele Photography in Thief River Falls and they got to take Spring Pictures with a newborn lamb! Soooo cute! I cannot wait till I have them in my hands and all over my walls.
A little update on all of the kids....
Gage- He has been struggling a bit in some ways, and doing better in others. Because of the Spring holidays, we have had a lot of company, which in turn is causing him to spiral quite a bit. Our new phrase is "Under Control" and it is a reminder to him to stop and calm down. We have been working a lot more on coping mechanisms, and in turn he is improving a bit. Also, he is now able to button, snap, scissor and write with his right hand, but cannot do anything in terms of "fine motor skills" with his left.
Bo- Bo Bear has been under the weather so he has basically just been fine tuning his bad attitude and naughtiness skills. He is now able to actually flop around on the floor and make quite an angry fuss. I won't lie to you. I laugh. I cannot help it, it is in some ways wonderful. I am sure many of you are thinking to yourself, "She lost her mind during her sick break *shaking head*!). When you have a child who for almost four years has barely cried or whimpered, has a hard time even laughing, a hissy fit is like the jingling bells of Christmas time! Plus, Gage broke me in. Between the colic, the sensory-struggling-toddlerhood, and then the night terrors, Gage will probably always have Bo beat.
Cote- While Bo has been struggling, Cote has been thriving! This child is turning into a mini-Gage! She is barely sleeping anymore and she is a jabber-jaw! Between the two of them, I am going to need to sell all of my earthly possessions to pay for my Tylenol habit! Sh is not slowly scootching around on her belly, she is able to get from laying to sitting (about twice a day), she can pick up small toys and she loves loves loves cars and trucks! Also, Bo has been trying to love up and cuddle on her lately and she won't have any of it! She yells NA! (no) at him and smacks him in the face. It is hilarious to see her finally sticking up for herself, but yes she does get in trouble for it. She has to go to time-out (I am on the hunt for a time-out chair for Bo and Cote), but she doesn't care. She just sits and keeps talking, lol.
Rachel- I am heading back to school this Summer. My goal is to hopefully be working from home as a Transcriptionist full-time in 2-3 years and perhaps then Keith can leave his job to help me with the kids. We are getting to the point more and more where I am needing someone here almost constantly. My body is breaking down and I ache all of the time. I am exhausted. Imagine lifting two 3 and a half foot long, 30 pound, dead weight sandbags up and down off of the floor all day long. All. Day. Long. They are getting bigger all of the time, so I figure at the 2-3 year mark I will be ready. I will have to break up my hours throughout the day, but I know I can do it. I don't have a ton of classes left before I finish the program, but it is going to take a bit longer. Due to our schedule, I will only be able to take 1-2 classes at a time, instead of the 4-5. Keep me in your thoughts, as I will probably struggle :) Gage did tell me that he looked at my Patho-Physiology book and I will do fine, hahahaha. That kid and his Science!
Anywho... I think I have updated on everything I can think of right now :) Sweet Dreams!
