Friday Evening

It is now 10:45pm and Cote has finally crashed and burned. That little ball of sugar and spice and soft baby skin was so absolutely naughty tonight, I think she may have shaved 4 years off of my lifespan. She pulled Bo's hair tonight, kicked the cat numerous times and poked Gage in the eye. My fairy princess was a complete Slytherin this evening! Every time I would pick her up for a feeding, she would yell, "No No No (sounds like Nah Nah Nah)" at me as loud as she could! As you can imagine, Bo therefore turned into a ball of hysterics. For the rest of the evening he was absolutely miserable, lol. Gage was pretty laid back. He does his best when he is playing PS3, doing puzzles or doing mind teasers. A part of me understands why some parents allow their kids to pound away at those controllers. I would think it would be easy to let yourself get sucked in to letting them do what will keep them quiet. It's a shame that I am conscious to that fact I suppose, because Gage only gets to have little bits of time on it here and there ;)

Dinner tonight was a bit of a wild card. Gage had chicken noodle soup and a bun with cheese on it, and Bo and Cote had mashed potato's with creamy chicken gravy. Dinner went very well and everyone gobbled up their goodies. I am guessing that after a long day, everyone was craving those carbs.

Afterwards we decided to just take a night off of floor time, and whipped up a bubble bath for the kiddo's instead. Gage sits in the middle and Bo and Cote sit on each side of him. They are all three major water lovers, and I owe that to a friend who used to dump water on her kids heads in the bathtub when they were little. I used to think it was atrocious, but it is honestly a lifesaver. Even with special needs, my kids are OK with having water splashed in their faces, Gage can swim underwater without plugging his nose, and we have only had 2 mild ear infections in our house TOTAL (that's for those who say water will cause the ear infections). The only thing my kids like more than water, is tormenting their mother.

After bath, we got fresh jammies on and settled in to watch our show "Once Upon A Time". We do not have cable, but we do buy episodes from the Playstation Network. We all pile into the rocker and I feel a little claustrophobic. Bo just fusses because he is crowded and Cote cant leave the boys alone. I make them just suck it up though, because I am freezing and all three are like little heaters.

We make it through two episodes and Bo is passed out and Gage is almost there. I lay Bo down and bring Gage upstairs to get him settled in bed. He tells me he wishes I was Daddy (thanks for the ego boost, buddy) and I tuck in him and Bones (the now wailing cat).

I am greeted back downstairs by an extremely hyper Cote. She sat with me at the table for a bit and then I made her a bottle... thus the falling asleep so late. I did not Melatonin her tonight. I like to give them breaks every few days and see if we are to the point of not needing it anymore.

Evidently that is not the case yet.
