Since Keith ended up being home with me, it all went really smoothly. I popped a chicken and herbed rice dish in the oven, straightened up around the house a bit and folded some clothes. After that I went in the living room and play area to play with all of the kids. All three were so fussy and cranky that I almost wished I didn't. I sat there and took the punishment considering they had been trapped in that car for so long. My mom (our evening PCA), got to our house about 5:00pm and started helping me get the kids ready for dinner. I made Bo and Cote sweet potato's and creamed corn and we got to work feeding them. It went pretty good thank goodness, because by this time I was walking a tight wire. I got dinner out of the oven and the rest of us ate as well. Gage ate his dinner and I was so happy that there was so little fighting involved.
After dinner, Gage went outside to run around with his puppies and Bo, Cote, my mom and I sat around the table chatting. We were discussing our schedule and extra-curriculars for spring and summer. Although I set it up just two weeks ago, I decide to remind her for the third time that she promised to baby sit for me in October, lol. I am bound and determined I am going to this wedding. It is a good thing I brought it up yet again, because she uses it as an opportunity to tell me that one of her sisters sons is getting married that month. EEK! I ask her when exactly and she is unsure, so I can her my phone and demand she call my aunt, lol. Five minutes later it is confirmed that it is the same weekend as when I had made plans... nine months ahead of time! Squashed are my hopes of a night out. As much as I would love to lay my head down and cry, I refuse to. It is not her fault that fate is out to get me. I would never ask her to miss my cousins wedding, so I accept the situation and inwardly pout, lol. It isn't anyone's fault so there is no one to blame.
At about 7:00pm she heads home. Keith changes Bo and Cote's diapers and I make them a bottle and sippy. I get Gage his tea with honey. He is about to pass out, so I want to squeek it in him while I can. We get everyone fed and they ALL pass out! We get everyone settled in bed and Keith and I sit down in the living room to chat. There is very little I love more than talking to my husband. He is a great man, and I am so thankful for him. He is good humored, has a ton of patience, he helps me with the kids and the house and always tries to make me feel beautiful. We end up getting to go to bed at about 9:00pm which is a good thing, considering Keith has to leave here at 6:00am to get the van to the shop by 8:00am. The shop is only a few miles away, but considering the process it will take to get it there, he needs all the time he can get!
