*sigh*
This was a long day. Suppertime came and I cheated. We did sort of a "wild card" dinner :) Gage picked out Chef Boyardee Spaghetti and Meatballs, I made Bo and Cote Cream of Mushroom soup with crackers, I had a Diet Rockstar and a turkey sandwich, and Keith gets leftover mac and cheese with ham and carrots ;) Cheater, right? Everyone ate nice so that made me happy.
After that Gage and I worked on distinguishing alphabet letters and writing and distinguishing numbers. Next, we all did some floor time. I am trying to teach Cote how to transition from laying to sitting. She is soooo close! I have a feeling she will be doing it all on her own soon. After that I put Bo in his gait trainer. He let himself hang in there, like the little hater he is. It took months and months and fights with the insurance company to get the darn thing, and now he hates it. The only thing that makes it worth it is that Cote will get use out of it as well. After I am done with them, I move on to Gage. We are doing some different sensory and soothing exercises. I think we did a little too much because at 6:00pm Gage starts trying to pass out. I make Bo and Cote a sippy and a bottle, and make Gage limp by till 7:00pm while I am feeding them.
At 7:00pm, Gage grabs Bones the kitty and we head upstairs to get him settled for nigh-nigh. I tuck him in, read a story, sing twinkle twinkle, give he and Bones a kiss and downstairs I go in time to watch Bo smacking the TV. I am happier and happier all of the time with mine and Keith's decision to hold on to our dinosaur a bit longer. I redirect him to some blocks and I use the chance to get started on some of the dreaded cleaning. There is enough to keep two housekeepers busy for a week, but I start diving in. At 9:00pm it is time for Bo and Cote's last sippy and bottle of the day. I whip them up, change dipes, give them their Melatonin (under supervision of Pediatrician) and get to work feeding them. They both pass out nice and I lay their sweet little faces to bed while singing my favorite lullaby. I love my children. As much as I get tired, I love them so much.
I then remember I need to switch out Bo's carseat and move up the straps on Cote's seat. Gage outgrew his infant seat at 3 months when he tipped the scales at 26 pounds! We then had to get a convertible seat which he grew out of at 2 and a half years old. Then we got him a convertible that goes up to 100 pounds! Now we got him a high back booster. Bo has been in the convertible since he was one year old, and although he is not 40 pounds, he by far exceeds the height limit. He will now be going into the 100 pound weight limit convertible and I am nervous. It has a wide seat and he is so thin and tall. I may just be being psycho though... we shall see how it goes tomorrow.
After I am done adjusting seats, I get back to cleaning. I clean and clean, until Cote wakes up and decides she is going to stay that way. I feed her again, and rock her till she conks out again. Then I remember I need to update this blog. So here I am and I am about to get to bed. It is 12:10am and I am not sure what time Gage is going to get up :( No need for an alarm clock here. Talk to you in the morning and hope I am the only one awake right now!!!
You're not. I'm up too. :)
