Thursday Morning

So this morning I wake up to my alarm clock at 6:00am. Yes you read that right... I woke up to my alarm! It was so quiet, that it was a bit eerie! I go to check Gage's bed, and he is gone! Sneaker! I know exactly what he is doing, and I am proved right when I find him downstairs on the couch playing PS3. We do not have violent games in our house, he is currently addicted to Harry Potter Lego Game, but I still would rather he was sleeping. Maybe I should just appreciate the fact he let me get some rest... Bo and Cote are still conked out, and Keith has left already. I go to the kitchen to make some coffee and realize that I am ALL OUT! Noooo! Not THIS morning! I have no one to whine to, so I send Melissa a FB message that just basically whines about my lack of caffeine.

I get Gage some Honey Bunches of Oats and start gathering clothes for the day. I have decided it is a jammy day, so I get everyone fresh blanket sleepers, underwear and diapers and start whipping up Bo and Cote's breakfast of baby oatmeal, mashed banana's, milk and pudding. Cote loves it and Bo hates it. I do clean up for everyone, help Bo and Gage get changed and dressed, pop Bo in the playpen and run a shower for Cote and I. Yes I let Cote take a shower with me. She loves to be held in a warm shower and have my wash her hair. She is cognitively about 3 months old, and as her parent I have absolutely no problem with it. While in there, I condition the heckers out of the back of her hair. Cote likes to rub her head on the floor and she has worked the back into one big rats nest!

We get out and get dressed and I decide to call Mel. Her little guy is still sick, so I am not quite sure if she is coming out today. I call her as she is trying to scramble out her front door. She proceeds to tell me that in her procession lies one of her energy drinks, and I who has not coffee, becomes instantly jealous.

She shows up about 25 minutes later, carrying a container of what I can see across my kitchen to be coffee!!!! I scurry to the coffeepot and get that bad boy roarin! Melissa heads into the living room to start playing with kids and I hover by the counter, waiting for my first cup. I sit down to work on uploading pics for a while and soon we decide to do a bit of walker time with Bo. I goes much better than it has been and I am so pleased with him!!!! I guess the trick is him not seeing me! Lol! After that Mel does diapers and I send Gage out to visit his puppies.

I get a phone call from one of the many different agencies we work with asking for our tax return papers from last year. Not super convenient. I will have to get them from our tax lady tomorrow and con Melissa into scanning them and emailing them for me. I get a phone call from my Doctors nurse asking me how I am feeling? I get a letter from the billing department at the clinic telling me one of our insurance companies (we have a couple due to the kids) is denying coverage and I need to contact them.

Lunchtime comes and I whip up fruit and yogurt smoothies for Bo and Cote and mix them with vanilla pudding. As an accompaniment we have Gerber Blueberry Puffs. It actually all goes very well, besides Cote getting a bunch in her freshly washed hair, and everyone is absolutely jovial! Cleanup happens and I dig our my tennis shoes and Gage and I decide to go for a walk. It is my first actual walk without a stroller since right after Cote was born. Part of my deal with myself, is trying to get outside for more of these excursions and for more fresh air!!! It is fun, besides the fact I have to wrestle the whole time with Gage, our two overgrown puppies Rayne and Dixie, and our outside cat Punky.

I get back and it is time for Mel to head home. Her hubby has to be to work early today (which mine mine does as well) so she needs to get home to be with her sick son. We say our goodbyes to Mel and Keith as I whip up Gage's chicken noodle soup. He sits at the table and eats so well, that I have to give him a whole bunch of extra (unwanted, lol) kisses!!!

After that he knows it is rest time, and almost on cue the other two pass out for a nap.

I pour myself another cup of coffee.
