Smashing Pumpkins. They have a way of being the theme song to my life effortlessly.
Today Bo grabbed the little metal handle of the TV armoir(sp) and stood up!
Awesome moment in our home! I can't count on one hand the amount of times we were told that Bo would probably never crawl, let alone pull himself up to stand! Amazing!
So, while we are flying high with excitement... I have been challenged to take one full week and be completely and brutally open and honest about my daily life. This is complete with blog updates throughout the day when I can get online.
Part of being a good friend or support system to someone is attempting to understand. I was told recently that it is hard to be friends with me, because no one actually understands what we are going through... because I dont give people a chance to try and understand. So... thats what I am going to do.
I am going to try and let everyone see exactly what a week here looks like. I am going to keep the camera on hand as much as possible, and keep this computer fired up. I don't know how smoothly it will go but I am truly hoping I make it through the entire week! I am going to start Monday and run it through till Sunday. There is even a medical appointment in there so that shall be fun for you guys ;)
Hmm... what else has happened in the last couple of days? Oh yes! Gage attended his first hockey game on Friday with his Grandma Kathy.
Gage is officially a boy in love.
As long as his skating lessons go well this year, I told him I would be OK with him starting hockey next year. Now what I am a little wary about is the fact we are starting to home school this upcoming Fall. I am not sure how this will work out with the hockey situation. The plan for now was that we would home school until we both got Gage's SPD under control and worked out which ways to best teach him, then we would look back into public school; whether it be full-time or part-time. Now this sort of has me baffled as to how children school at home AND do sports through the school system. Just another thing on Rachel's to-do list of things I probably should find out about right away.
Another would be brushing up on my English skills.
From the Rachel stand point. Since I am not getting to sleep much these days, I have retaught myself how to divide. In case you are new to me in general, in May 2007 I had a grand-mal seizure. At this time I lost my entire long term memory... along with skills I was not using on a daily basis. Well, Congratulation's Rachel! You now know how to divide again!!!!
I suppose I better call it quits on this one tonight. I have a lot more messing around to do on the internet. I am looking at home playgrounds for kids with special needs. Yay for another thing in my life that has to cost a million dollars more than normal! Lol... good night!
Go Bo! I made a rhyme. Lol.
